I didn't think about that. First thing in the morning ill knock that out and update the thread. I remember running it on xp back when I worked at Data Doctors So I used dial-a-fix, combofix, frequently used acronis to backup data, and would run the repair from the xp sp3 discs when needed.

And isn't system32 what sfc checks? So if it found a bad file in there you wouldn't be able to replace it with it's own content.
