When I select "Add or remove email addresses" on this page, it jumps me to my main Live account, and only allows the option to change my main account for notifications. There is no option affecting only calendar notifications. If I am reading the advice in Step 1 above correctly, it seems that we can either have reminders for everything or nothing. We tend to want a default of none but the occasional appointment needs a reminder.

We can achieve this if we use the online calendar to create the appointments but not if we use the desktop as the master. I always prefer to work on the desktop version.
